| As the title suggests, I was wondering if anyone watched game casts. If you're wondering what that is, its where someone broadcasts themselves playing games online, through websites like twitch.tv and others.
I tend to do it often, and there are a few casters i tend to watch whenever i see them on, such as swiftor. I usually watch when I'm on the computer and don't have the time to play games myself, the energy to play, or just have the urge to chat with people.
So yea, was just wondering if other watched game casts like i did.

| Hello and welcome to the site. Looks like we have a lot of people here now. Hope the community becomes more active now I rarely listen to gaming cast. I see some of them on youtube. I thought about playing some games live and letting people watch me as I play. It wouldn't be commentary. Just basically what you explained. Myself playing a couple of games. I'll have to look more into it. Have you ever hosted your own game cast? | |

| Ive hosted a few, but i usually only get a few viewers at a time, as while i play. The people i watch get hundreds at a time, and while i think it would be cool to become like that, i dont believe im interesting enough to become that popular at casting. Also, thanks for the welcome, and yes, it seems like many people joined at the same time, but sadly it looks like most just came to mooch a beta code, and run. I'm a little more appreciative then that. | |

| I guess you have to let more people know then. Or play games people want to see. Preferably newer games or new releases. I actually thought about casting. Seems to be a bit experience. You must have very good internet speed and that's not cheap. About the beta code: That's pretty honorable that you decided to stick around. The site is still coming together. Do you have anything that you can contribute to the site? Like photoshop skills, writing reviews, journalist etc. Anything like that Also about the beta sign up......Yeah that was expected. People will mooch or leech until, or whatever you wanna call it, they receive a beta key. I actually posting a lot around the web and had people come here. We all got together and thought this would be a good plan to liven things up around here. I'm glad you decided to stick around. I hope we get a lot of cool gamers to stay. We have even bigger plans for the site. Not many people on the team so things are a little slow, but on the up and up . Did noc give you a beta key? | |

| From what Ive done i have the capability to at least steam PC gaming and such, but the hardware that it takes to stream console games is to expensive for me to afford. So Ive stuck to PC games and emulators when Ive tried it. I just never really advertised when i did so, so i was just getting random people dropping in slowly. Yea, initially all i did come for was a beta key, and i did receive one and have used it, and enjoyed the beta when the games haven't been lagging badly And i and try to contribute if I'm asked to sure. My writing is very lack-luster, but i do play many new games so i could try writing reviews if you'd like. As for Photoshop skills, again, i have /some/ but I'm not the best, but if I'm asked to help i will try. | |

| Well any photoshop skill is better than mines. I rarely use any photoshop. I basically remake video game music. I have a youtube page with a lot of classic remakes if you want to listen to them someday.
Also what does it take to stream games. What software\hardware. What internet speed connection etc?

| All it takes to stream really is a program thats compatible with the site you wanna stream too, such as Dyyno Broadcaster, but i know thats not the only one. As for internet speed, the faster the better really, because the faster your speed, the higher resolution your broadcast can be without any video lag. But really, im not expert at all, ive just done it a few times as a passing fancy. | |

| Thanks for the info. I might actually check that site and out and attempt to stream some games. Would you mind being a "beta" tester for me lol? Basically tell me how good or bad the video quality and sound is.
I don't know when I'll be ready to stream as of right now. I've been thinking about updating my internet speed for sometime now.

| Well I'm sure we could work something out. I guess I could try my current internet speed. I'm thinking of upgrading. | |
