No I have not played it. I wanted to play it. I heard the packs are going to be free before MGO is taken offline? From what I heard a ton of people played it online. I wonder why they are taking it offline? Is it because of security or are they pulling an "EA" and taking down the servers \ clients to save money.

They are making MGO3 with some new MGS (not rising) do MGO2 is shutting down. The map packs, codec packs, and reward shop items will be free from 24th April- 12th June. It will be worth playing it for anyone who hasn't. Best third person shooter by far!

Well I might have to try it out. I guess MGS4 is worth owning.

It's been years since I last played a shooter online, and those were all first-person shooters. This is pretty tempting, although at this point it's almost over. Even if I did start I'm not sure how much I'd be able to get out of it.

The single player is still worth it, if you've been following the past games. Even if you end up hating the direction the story goes in, at least you got to experience it.
