Dunno is thread like this needed, still..

If you want to make music at home of almost any genre, all you need is Your PC.

Lots of free music stuff in the Net. Some examples, I repeat SOME!)

For electronic or synthy music one of the best things to me: Synth 1(you can find it here: or google it)
Lead synth started at 0:10 and then playing with lead guitar here is Synth 1
Also I used in this remix Edirol Orchestra 2004 VSTi(i don't know is it still exist and don't know how much $ you'll need)
Plus programming Drums for rock, metal, jazz, blues or whatever LIVE SOUNDING you can find here
This one of the most realistic and awesome drums vsti. Demo version is pretty cool and you can make some serious stuff using it.
Also pretty good synth for home studio ME-80( But you'll need 40$
I'm using DEMO))
And of course you'll need DAW!
Reaper ( one of the most simplest daw I ever seen. You download it and using FULL version for 30 days(then deleting and installing again:D)
But my choice is MAGIX Music Maker 14 Producer Edition(NOT FREE).
Billions FREE tools exist in the net!
If You are a guitarist(as I am). Then one of the simplest, easy thing is Guitar FX box (not bad but not awesome)
- Guitar FX BOX 2.6
And Elfen Lied rock remix I posted in Anime forum here before too))
TH-1 or TH-2 or whatever OVERLOUD (GREAT THING)
Also You can find lot of stuff like this for FREE))
Google is your guide)
Sorry for my english, I hope this thread will help someone.
Best of whatever!!'lol!'
